  • Prior sawmill/planer experience is preferred.


The ideal candidates will be responsible to perform the physical duties involved with cleanup and other entry level duties in a sawmill/planer environment including, but not limited to:

  • Sweeping and shoveling, walking on even and uneven surfaces, pushing a wheelbarrow and using a power saw.
  • Be willing and able to run various production jobs as assigned.
  • The candidate must be able to lift up to a maximum of 50 lbs.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who exhibit attention to detail, a safety-conscious attitude, and impeccable attendance. 

Wages are per the collective agreement.

Come work on one of the largest cattle ranches in British Columbia! Our 1000-pair, cow-calf/yearling operation sprawls over 8,000 deeded acres, just 15 minutes northwest of Prince George. Bar K Ranch was the first BC beef operation registered with the Verified Beef Production program and has received its AgSafe OHS Certificate of Recognition (COR).


The ideal candidate will be a person with extensive cattle and grazing experience, open-minded and shows good attention to detail, have problem solving abilities, a proactive attitude and an advocate for safety. You will have a basic understanding of holistic principles and would also need a strong grasp of grazing management and cattle health protocols. Good horsemanship, roping and riding skills are beneficial. ATV cattle working experience and equipment operation would be an asset.



The type of work will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Moving cattle by horseback and ATV
  • Herd health, calving, vaccinating
  • Fencing – both barbed and electric
  • Livestock watering systems
  • Tractor operation
  • Field work such as: Spraying, Seed Bed Prep
  • Harvesting Silage and Hay Crop,
  • Feeding cattle during winter months.

This is a fulltime permanent position, to begin immediately. Hourly wage determined by experience. Housing and Benefits are available as well for the right person.
